I started building homes at 15, framing them from the ground up in Connecticut. Over the years I worked my way into remodeling, then finish carpentry, picking up new trades and skills as I went. I knew houses from the studs out before I knew anything about selling them.

After college I taught for four years. I loved it, but construction was in my blood, so I went back to it. Eventually I moved into sales and marketing for a Fortune 500 company, which is where I learned how to actually communicate value and run a process that doesn't waste people's time. Then my family and I moved down to Southwest Florida, and I brought all of it with me into real estate.

That mix is unusual. The builder in me sees the problems most agents walk right past, the seawall, the roof age, the cut corners behind the drywall. The teacher in me wants you to actually understand what you're buying or selling, not just sign where I point. And the marketer in meknows how to position a home so it sells for more, or find the one that fits before someone else does.
